Location - Jersey (Channel Islands). Purpose of the Position
To identify and generate significant new high net worth Private Client business from within the Channel Islands and to achieve agreed targets.
The aim is to build a book of assets under management and to develop and retain these client relationships.
Principal Accountabilities
Networking, prospecting and generation of new business opportunities.
Assessing client needs and providing wealth solutions. This requires detailed financial planning and an understanding of tax and investment/risk solutions.
Manage the progression of pipeline business opportunities and agreed business development plans to ensure that the products and services meet client expectations, and that their requirements and solutions are properly documented.
Progress approved sales campaigns and produce appropriate reports on the status and success of these.
Analyse prospect and client databases to maximise opportunities for business development.
Develop close working relationships with clients to ensure that the business potential of each is maximised.
Recommending appropriate strategic plans to gain Management approval and to then implement.
Motivate support personnel to exceed their objectives/targets and client service expectations and to assist in the identification of prospects and new business opportunities.
Maintain an excellent awareness and understanding of industry, market and product developments in order to facilitate the creation of appropriate business development strategies.
Experience and Qualities Required
An outstanding and proven track record in Private Client business development.
An unquestionable ability to prospect for new business, network and identify opportunities to implement in pursuit of business goals.
An excellent working knowledge of the investment industry, investment management techniques, and investment products.
An excellent understanding of the benefits of establishing trusts and private investment companies and how they are administered.
An ability to prepare and conduct effective presentations to both large and small audiences.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Appropriate professional qualifications to meet Regulatory requirements to promote investment products and provide on-going financial advice relating to them. |
